Join the North Alabama Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Special Guest Penelope Burk on November 5th for National Philanthropy Day. The event will begin at 11:00am and last until 2:00. Lunch will be served.

Keynote Speaker this year is Penelope Burke, a nationally recognized expert in the fundraising field. 

Penelope Burk’s keynote speeches and training sessions are legendary in the fundraising industry. She is known for her clarity and humor and for tailoring every address to the needs of the audience in front of her.

Award categories include: 

Philanthropy Hero - This award is presented to an individual, couple, or family demonstrating exceptional support to nonprofit organizations and causes in North Alabama.  Nominees should not only have played a key role in assisting organizations achieve their goals, but also set an example for others to follow.

Fundraising Professional of the Year - This award is presented to a fundraising professional demonstrating commitment to the profession, knowledge of the undustry, and leadership capabilities.  The individual will also exemplifiy the ethics and stanards set forth by AFP.  Nominees should have a track record of service, and advancing philanthropy in their workplace and in the greater community.

Outstanding Charitable Executive Director Award- Many civic organizations, foundations, and service groups serve our communities and advance causes vital to our quality of life.  THis award is presented to a highly visible champion of exsisting causes, special projects, or new initiatives who has led their organization to new heights.
